That is odd. It may be that your situation has something unique about it that has not been seen before. Curtis is correct it should not matter where it was placed. There were many reasons for the move to the different way of doing the LDAP portion of SSO. A lot of those reasons had to do with being about to support SSO properly. There may be something unique that would would want to capture and address.
