I have tested this and i am a solarwinds engineer. The documentation is not granular enough. How i worked this out was by moving the security group into each ou until it worked. Mine only worked in the above screenshot. It does not matter if it is local or global as long as it is found. I got the same errors until i found the ou that could be seen. I could not establish how it is searching though. Solarwinds needs to produce more documentation on this or revert back to 6.2 method. Silly move in my view anyway and i am going to put in a feature request.
