The credentials didn't change themselves, but we're using an entirely different driver now, so the ODBC records should be pointing to the new driver instead (when you install the new version of reports, it should recreate them). Vendor code 210 is specific to the old driver, which is why I suspect something is stuck on the old version (it's also a super-generic error that's used for almost anything, not just credentials, which is not helpful in and of itself
). You could try going into the 32-bit ODBC administrator (odbcad32.exe, probably need to run as admin since reports do as well) and delete any of the Reports-related DSNs then open 5.6 reports again and see if they recreate against the correct driver. If you look at the ODBC DSNs, they should not be attached to anything referencing Vertica directly.
